Smart Energy
The Smart Energy program provides an opportunity for residential and commercial NW Natural customers to offset their natural gas footprint by investing in biogas projects in the Pacific Northwest.
Project Requirements
The Climate Trust is seeking projects for NW Natural's Smart Energy program that
- take place are located in the Pacific Northwest, with a strong preference for those in Oregon
- produce biogas, with a strong preference for anaerobic digesters at dairy farms (organic waste digester and landfill gas projects will also be considered)

Step 1: Submit a Project Information Note.
Step 2: Upon The Climate Trust's request, submit a Project Information Document.
Step 3: Negotiate an Emission Reduction Purchase Agreement.
