Your tax-deductible donations are critical to helping create real solutions to rapid climate change. The Climate Trust needs your support to help achieve its mission of implementing new greenhouse gas offset projects and developing innovative ways to protect the climate.

You or your organization’s donation to The Climate Trust will be directed into one of two programs of your choosing: our Offset Program or our Giving Program.
Funds received via the Offset Program are matched up with offsets that will be generated by projects in our portfolio. After the offsets are quantified, verified by a third party verifier and delivered to The Climate Trust, we retire them in perpetuity for the benefit of the environment on behalf of your donation.
Contributions to the Offset Program made by check are calculated at the rate of $11 per metric ton of offsets. Online contributions to the Offset Program are processed at $12/ton to cover credit card fees and online processing expenses.
In return for your donation to the Offset Program we will send you two documents: 1) a tax deductible letter; and 2) a certificate stating the number of offsets that will be retired on behalf of your donation. You can choose whether you prefer to receive these documents electronically or via postal mail.

Giving Program The Giving Program allows individuals, companies and organizations to make contributions to support The Climate Trust’s programs. Funds received via the Giving Program are used to enable the overall success of the organization.
Interest in a higher level of support? Become a member of our elite Climate Trust Leadership Circle. The Leadership Circle is open to individuals making contributions of $500 or more and to companies making contributions of $1,000 or more.
In return for your donation to the Giving Program you will receive a tax deductible letter, which you can choose to receive electronically or via post.

A gift of stock to The Climate Trust may not be subject to capital gains taxes,
and you may receive a tax deduction of the appreciated value. Due to processing
fees, The Climate Trust is only able to accept stock donations over $75.
